Congratulations to rockytheskaterboy Dreadlow from Surf City's own Surf Team, who takes home the trophy from the first SLSA Surf City Classic. Another Surf City local, Mick Lunasea joined him on the winners podium in second place, with 10th ranked SLSA surfer Bobbi Laval coming in third.

23 July 2008 -- Here are the heat draws announced by the Second Life Surfing Association (SLSA) for the SLSA Surf City Classic taking place at 1100 hours SLT (1800 hours GMT) on Saturday 26 July 2008 at Surf City South beach. 26 surfers are expected to take part in the competition, which will use Rob John's Noserider longboards. 6 July 2008 -- Here are the qualifying wave timings announced by the Associação Brasileira de Surf no Second Life (Brazilian Second Life Surfing Association) or ABSSL for second leg of the new Brazilian Surf Circuit being held at Praia da Paz today (Sunday 6 July 2008). Competitors will surf sequentially and on their own for five minutes each starting at 11.05 hours Second Life Time (SLT).
